Helping You Better Understand Strengths, Challenges and Next Steps

Psychological assessments can help build a clearer understanding of how a person learns, thinks, and manages everyday challenges. Whether you're hoping to explore learning, problem-solving, attention, behaviour, or development, an assessment can provide valuable insights into strengths, identify areas where additional support may be helpful, and guide the next steps.

Following an initial consultation, assessments are tailored to the individual's unique questions and concerns. After the assessment, you'll receive a report outlining the findings and recommendations, along with a feedback session to discuss the results and answer any questions. Where appropriate, Jessica can also work alongside schools and other professionals to support ongoing care.

COGNITIVE ASSESSMENTS

(WISC-V, WAIS-IV)

A cognitive assessment helps us understand how a person thinks, reasons, solves problems and learns. It builds a profile of cognitive strengths and areas where extra support may be helpful, providing valuable information about how someone approaches everyday tasks.

EDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENTS

(WIAT-III, CTOPP-2)

Educational assessments explore academic skills such as reading, spelling, writing, mathematics, and oral language. They can help build a clearer picture of how someone is learning compared to their peers. They are often completed alongside a cognitive assessment to better understand learning strengths and areas of difficulty.

SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL, BEHAVIOURAL ASSESSMENTS

Behavioural assessments help us better understand a person's emotional wellbeing, behaviour, social relationships and everyday functioning. Across different environments in an individual’s daily life, they can explore the factors that may be contributing to current challenges and identify strengths that can be built upon.

NEURODEVELOPMENTAL ASSESSMENTS

Neurodevelopmental assessments help build a better understanding of how a person thinks, learns, pays attention and manages everyday life. They explore patterns of strengths and challenges that may be related to neurodevelopmental differences, such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and provide greater clarity around an individual's unique profile.
